| This website is an attempt to
share with others the genealogy and history of the Boers family in South
Africa and their forebears in the Netherlands and to encourage others to
contribute information they may have to the effort to expand the
documentation of this history. We have only the descendants of one of the
sons of the original Hendrikus Wouterus Boers and his wife Hendrika Maria
Lijsen who emigrated from the Netherlands, namely, the youngest, Hendrikus
Wouterus, complete down to his children. We have some information on his
grandchildren and very little on his great grandchildren. At the moment we
have no information on the descendents of Hendrikus and Hendrika's other
two sons, Amoldus Gerhardus Johannes, who was born in Vorden in Gelderland
in the Netherlands, and Gerhardus Johannes Bernardus, born in Ladysmith,
Natal |

Hierdie webterrein is `n poging om die genealogie en
geskiedenis van die Boers familie in Suid-Afrika en hulle voorsate in
Nederland met ander te deel en sodoende ook ander te motiveer om inligting
waaroor hulle beskik met ons te deel om sodoende die geskiedenis van
hierdie famile uit te brei. Ons het slegs die nageslagte van een van die
seuns van die oorspronklike Hendrikus Wouterus Boers en sy vrou Hendrika
Maria Lijsen wat uit Nederland ge-emigreer het, naamlik die jongste,
Hendrikus Wouterus Boers, volledig tot by sy kinders. Ons het onvolledige
inligting oor sy kleinkinders en weinig oor sy agterkleinkinders. Op die
oomblik het ons geen inligting oor die nasate van Hendrikus en Hendrika se
ander twee seuns nie, Arnoldus Gerhardus Johannes, wat in Vorden in
Gelderland gebore is, en Gerhardus Johannes Bernardus, wat in Ladysmith in
Natal gebore is. |
